The Berriew and District Horticultural & Agricultural Show, held annually on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday, is a celebration of community, tradition, and rural talent. Well into in its 8th decade, the show is an essential highlight of the local calendar, truly ingrained in Powys’ history – and just eight miles from our site.
The show is much more than just a day of exhibitions – it’s a catalyst for community wellbeing. It unites people of all ages and backgrounds, showcasing the rich diversity of local farming, craftsmanship, and culture.
Whether you’re interested in local livestock, fresh produce, or stunning handicrafts, there’s something to spark your interest. The event also offers an exciting display of food and drink, equestrian events, and a special area for canine friends to show off their skills.
One of the major draws of the show is its impressive range of exhibits, from rare breeds of livestock to vintage vehicles that transport visitors back in time. With trade stands and a charming craft village on site, it’s the perfect place to support local businesses, explore unique products, and pick up a souvenir (or two).
For those looking to get involved, the show offers the chance to exhibit in several categories – whether you’re a green-thumbed gardener, a budding craftsman, or a local chef. It’s the perfect chance to compete, showcase your skills, and maybe even take home the trophy!
