Get ready to dust off your dirndl or wiggle into those lederhosen, Shropshire Oktoberfest is back – and bigger (and boozier!) than ever.
Set in the beautiful Shrewsbury Quarry (SY1 1JA), this two-day celebration is not your average beer festival. There’s over 150 incredible tipples on offer, proudly poured by local brewers, cidermakers, distillers, winemakers, and artisan producers!
Expect belly laughs in the comedy tent, epic singalongs at the live music stage, and some wild moves in the silent disco (beer-fuelled dad dancing encouraged!).
For wannabe rockstars, carpool karaoke returns. So, grab your mates, pick your anthem, and sing your heart out.
And of course, all that dancing and drinking demands some serious refuelling. The street food options are extensive, with everything from juicy burgers and homemade pizzas to vegan bites and sweet treats. Got a picky eater or fancy a homemade snack? You’re welcome to bring your own food (just no booze, knives, or sharp objects please).
Gates open from 5pm on Friday and midday on Saturday, with last orders called at 9.30pm.
Advance tickets start at just £17.50 or grab a weekend pass from £43.95. If you want a little extra glam with your stein, go VIP and enjoy your own reusable cup, upgraded loos, and more space to sit, sip, and chill.
Children are welcome too – with tickets from £10. But due to the nature of the event, assistance dogs only.
Just a short drive away, Oakwood Valley Lodges is the ideal base for your Oktoberfest weekend. With peaceful countryside views and a warm, welcoming feel, you can enjoy the buzz of the festival and return to pure relaxation.
Soak up the spirit(s) of Shropshire (literally!) and discover your perfect escape at Oakwood.
