Ready for a delicious weekend celebrating food, family, and fun at the award-winning Shrewsbury Food Festival?
Just an hour’s drive from Oakwood Valley Lodges, this annual event returns on 28th and 29th June at The Quarry, Shrewsbury (SY1 1RN). A firm favourite for locals and visitors alike for over a decade, this vibrant calendar highlight was recently crowned Festival of the Year at the 2025 West Midlands Tourism Awards.
Set in the heart of Shrewsbury, the festival brings together over 200 exhibitors, showcasing the very best in local and international cuisine, craft drinks, artisan produce, and independent retailers. From wood-fired pizzas to gourmet pet treats, there really is something to suit every taste!
Join top chefs, including Great British Bake Off finalist Christiaan De Vries, for live cookery demos, interactive talks, and hands-on sessions. Plus, the festival’s signature ‘Field to Fork’ area gives food lovers a chance to learn about local produce and its sustainability credentials.
New for 2025, the festival continues into Saturday evening with a moving and celebratory charity concert from 6pm – 10pm.
Featuring local talent Ego Friendly, SkaBurst, and HotRox, the concert will raise funds for ‘Shine On with Harvey Owen’, which honours the memory of local Harvey and his three friends – Hugo, Wilf, and Jevon – and supports with pathways for young people to enjoy arts, music, and food.
This is included in the day ticket at no extra cost, but donations are welcome. Or to attend the concert only, entry is £10 per person from 4.30pm (under 2s go free).
